What is MAGIC?

Anti - graffiti activities of governmental entities, regional agencies, community organizations, businesses, and citizens represent a massive effort. A wide variety of proven and innovative methods and materials are being employed for graffiti eradication, enforcement, education, and prevention. The Southern California area is a major target for graffiti vandals. The area has a large number of freeways, transit systems, industrial areas, and a large youth population; which makes the region vulnerable to this type of criminal activity. To move forward in our battle to eradicate graffiti, the Multi Agency Graffiti Intervention Committee, (M.A.G.I.C.) needs multi-perspective views of the current scope of the graffiti problem in your jurisdiction, so we can then develop better and improved strategies to deal with this problem. Please join us, the Graffiti Abatement Program here at the Department of Public Works so that we can bring together our existing resources, exchange information and coordinate efforts to eradicate graffiti. We are looking forward to meeting with all of the various agencies.
